» June 11, 2010: Updated Un-Official Election Results

As of 4:45 p.m. today, the new updated un-official results have been uploaded to our site at http://results.sbcvote.us. The following un-official update will be uploaded sometime on Tuesday, June 15th in the afternoon.

 

» June 10, 2010: Unofficial Election Results

The election staff has been working very hard to process the remaining 3,197 Vote-By-Mail ballots (VBM) and 166 provisional ballots. We anticipate posting a new unofficial update of election results once the VBM ballots are finished processing for counting; probably after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2011. The following unofficial update, most likely sometime the afternoon on Tuesday, June 15th, will include the eligible provisional ballots and any Vote-By-Mail ballots that required additional reprocessing. After all of the ballots have been counted the election staff will begin the canvassing of the election results. The canvass process must be completed within 29 days of the Election but we anticipate that this will be completed by the week of June 21st. Once the canvas is completed the certified elections results will be released. Thank you for your patience during this important phase of the election process.

 

» June 8, 2010: Today is Election Day! ¡Hoy es Día de las elecciones!

Today is Election Day, polls throughout the state will open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you haven't sent in your vote-by-mail ballot yet, you can drop it off at any polling place in San Benito County. You may also bring it to our offices located at the County Courthouse, 440 Fifth Street, Room 206. Please don't mail the ballot today, because if it arrives after 8:00 p.m. today, it is not going to be counted. For more information give us a call at (831) 636-4016.

Election results will be available after 8:00 p.m. and updated regularly at http://results.sbcvote.us

 

Hoy es Día de las elecciones, los lugares de votar del condado abrirán impesando de las 7:00 de la mañana a 8:00 de la tarde. Si usted no ha mandado su votación por correo, usted lo puede traer a calquier centro electoral. Notice is hereby given, that a Primary Election will be held in San Benito County on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. The polls will be open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. The central countin glocation is at the Courthouse, 440 Fifth Street, Room 204, Hollister, CA 95023. The back cover of your sample ballot will indicate your polling place location. If you have not received a sample ballot, or if you lost or misplaced the one sent to you, call the Elections Department before election day for more information at (831) 636-4016.

 

Se notifica que, una Elección Primaria se efectuara en el Condado San Benito del martes, 8 de junio, 2010. Las casillas electorales se abrirán a las 7:00 a.m. y cerraran a las 8:00 p.m. El lugar central de contabilidad es en el edificio del juzgado 440 calle cinco, oficina 204, Hollister, CA 95023. La pagina al final de su muestra de balota indicara su lugar de votación. » May 26, 2010: County's Financial Report (CAFR)

Once again the County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) has earned an unqualified “clean” opinion from the independent certified public accounting firm of Grace and Associates, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants. The unqualified opinion means that, in the opinion of the independent auditor, the County’s Financial Statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the County as of June 30, 2009.
