San Benito County Elections Teaching Kids Citizenship
As the County Registrar of Voter's, I believe in the importance of teaching children lifelong lessons about citizenship and the imporance of their future vote.
These pages are provided for the use of children, parents and teachers to encourage and help our future voters learn about government and the democratic process and their democratic right to vote. Let's teach them while they are young the importance of placing their vote. Let's teach them and help them make it a personal goal and priority that on their 18th birthday that they register to vote! The young lady pictured to the right recently turned 18th and voted for the first time in our historic presidential election of 2009! Congratulations to her and all our recently turned 18 year old voters who voted and we encourage others to do the same.
